I'm going to suggest something that may seem heretical to you.
Forget about weight loss.
Weight loss is the wrong thing to concentrate on.
Please understand that I'm not implying that normalizing your weight is not important; it is.
When most people concentrate on weight loss, they 'live by the scale' and fail to adopt a healthy routine. Consequently, they lose and regain weight in a yo-yo pattern which is deleterious to health.
Look at it this way... if you love your life, you will want to take care of your body. If you were diagnosed with a life threatening illness you would change your diet...you might even exercise more (if you could)...but you wouldn't be doing these things because of what the scale said or how you feel about how you look. You'd be doing these things because you love your life and don't want to cut it short.
Why wait until you get sick?
As you answer that question, keep in mind the most dangerous answer is: 'it won't happen to me.'
Instead of waiting and REACTING to illness:
Why not do all you can do now to support your immune system and optimal wellness?
Why not do all you can now to PREVENT illness?
Why not delvelop a healthy life routine and healthy diet now?
Doing anything less is playing Russian Roulette with your life. If you followo a healthy life routine and eat a healthy diet, you will lose weight without obsessing over what your scale says.
There are a lot of ways to lose weight which won't enhance your health. If you aim for health, you'll get the best of both.
Do you just need a little help getting started transitioning to a more helpful lifestyle?
